It didn't go well. I broke two extensions loosening the top bolts and i spent about 2hrs working on a stripped and rusted ball joint (where it connects to the strut). You can't fit a nut cracker in there so i had to use a little handheld hacksaw.
I've got the new strut in now, but the ball joint is jerry rigged. I rethreaded it, but the allen part is totally stripped so i can't get it tight..
Yuck! I'm swallowing my pride and taking it in to the dealership and i'm going to let them finish the job. I've got no skills when it comes to rusted bolts.
In retrospect, i guess i could have ordered replacement ball joints that go into the strut and attach to the sway bar at the other end. Then i wouldn't have even had to mess with that bolt (the one with an allen wrench in the middle).
