I just purchased some Amsoil ATF and Amsoil 5w30. Since I drive alot and in kinda extreme conditions, stop n go in town driving alot, I need some good oil. I want to extend my oil interval to 10k if possible. Also want the best protection for the tranny. I want this thing to last for 100's of thousands of miles.

Now the one thing I didn't think about till now was the rear diff. Do I need to worry aboout that or should I get some type of Amsoil for it? Since mine is a 2WD what do you guys recommend?

AMsoil huh? WHy you wanna run that crap? Razz
Little joke... I run it all around, but i've got a five speed-4banger.
YOu can use Series 2000 75w-90 gear lube in the rear diff.

By the way, I run series 3000 in the motor and change it every 25-35K miles. ALso run their remote dual filter setup.

I'd follow Amsoil instructions for changing out the fluid in the tranny. You'll need an extra set of hands tho.

BEfore you start the ATF changeout you better have enough replacement fluid. I think the system capacity is roughly 3 gallons( maybe a quart under this- so find out exactly. You'll wanna have at least that much on hand.
