Pinz troubles, Ian? What's up there?

oh yea and DR, it is very long and complicated...my Pinz been in Denver for now 11 weeks, tomorrow starts the 12th week. There is a shop there that has it and I got some things happening that may be illegal. I expect to have the truck by Saturday at the latest and will do a thread on this in the gen area after the truck is home. I also want to warn anyone who may try to use this shop...

Glad you got them, I was watching and decided it is really too much for me to spend, just for something neat that I don't need. Please post some pics when you put them in! Chug

yea it does suck DR....

I have complained about shops on here before, I am taking it as a lesson learned. This si all teaching me to suck it p and do the work myself. I have nothing to loose and can always take it to a shop after I screw it up. I do a lot of work myself but certain things have made me warry, such as the complex and unique design of the Pinz. Always worried I will end up causing more harm then good but it never happens. I always get the work done I try to do myself and have yet to screw anything up.

My Pinz ordeal may be over tomorrow. Unless I am out playing in it 24/7 the next 3 days i will post about the experience I have had with the un-named shop.

Oh yea...may be awhile before the hubs are on my 64. It still torn down and I am in no hurry to get it rebuilt and on the road....

Anyone know where I can find some locking hubs?
Man, I thought I had them, but I knew Ian would be lurking!

Ian, any word on the electronic distro yet?

Tennessee Offroad has Superwinch hubs for about $100 plus shipping. They didn't have them in stock when I ordered mine, but they still got here in less than a week.

You can get AVM's over seas...personally I think they the best but will take longer to get and cost the most. The SuperWinch I think are good too. If you had your heart set on stock Warn ones I got a used set I will sell you for pretty cheap.

PM or email me for info on the distro....

AVM is distributed by ARB. Call up the folks at www.arbusa.com and ask about getting a set of model 507s for your Patrol (61-79 application).
