It's about 2/3 to 1/3 offset to the passenger side, just like the Toyota diffs are.
I had a new LWB GQ to play with over the weekend Big Grin
Geez, that thing rocked ! Stock 100% rear locker in a H260 and rear sway-bar disconnect by the push of a button.
I guess my next one will be a GQ then....

Here's the pic from when Patrol scooped both Australian 4WD Monthly magazine 4WD of the Year awards. Front diff is clearly shown.

Right, but I was asking how far the REAR diff on the old MQ is offset. Some of you might be able to figure out where I'm going with this...

It's about the same as you can see in the front of the posted pic above.

If any one is interested I have detailed pictures of 60 series, MQ and Y60 front & rear diffs plus the tranies. I also know where a Y60 front coil sprung diff is sitting for sale in used condition and also an offset H260 rear diff.

Cool. Send me any MQ rear diff pics you have please.

Didn't know the H260 came in an offset type too.
A non-offset H260 would be tempting...

Thanks,
Brent

the early H260 is offset, up to 84 or 85. The MK started in 84 and has square headlights, I think also the 5spd thus a center rear diff. My MQ and my LG61 both have a C200 rear offset diff. Email me for pictures...and how many ya want?? Only of rear diff??
