Yeah, that's it. You can see it here under the spare, it's missing on the right.

hehe...I like your plates Wink

the brake light on the bumper is aftermarket as I assume you know. The brake light on the body is the stock orginal assembly. Unfortunately Nissan changed the front and rear brake/turn lights many times during the run of the 60 series Patrol. The ones you have there are rare, because they are only found on late 68 or 69 Patrols in the USA. Plus the stock ones as you have are few and far between on a 69, the more comman ones are the optional ones on John's 69. I would suggest you remove those and save them, find a regualer 62-67 rear brake light assembly and install it. If you ever find the lens and cover for the rare one you have then you can install it later. The only person who would ever know the diffrence between early or late is someone like me so I wouldn't worry about it. Wink

Me too! Wink It was my 2nd or 3rd choice, though. I guess they didn't want anything with "69" in it.

Honestly, I didn't know that. I guess I didn't think about it. The fact is I got it back here and parked it and then it was just a matter of trying to keep the snow from burying it. I'm really getting antsy to pull the engine and see what I need to do to get it back on the road so I can go "Patrolling" (my daughter's term).

Makes sense. Thanks, bro - you're a veritable font of Patrol info.smiley16

right on man...thnx for the compliments Big Grin

reason I say remove it is these are famous for falling off and getting lost or the glass lens breaking. The org glass lens breaks easy when it hits concrete :|

Here is some more info for anyone intrested....The map light found in the glovebox on a 69 Patrol is very very similar to the one found in the engine compartment of the old Z's. Like they are so similar I know a guy who goes to junkyards and gets them for $5 then sells them to Patrol owners for $20! Wink

Dogwater...are you sure your's is in the dash!? It is supposed to be in the glove box on a 69.....hmmnnnn, I wonder?

If you have the 69 setup then it is plastic lens not glass and yes the old Z one is an exact match for the cover. If yours is older style get John to give you his Wink

Ian,

You should be able to find a decent used pair for about $80, that is what I sold the last set I had for and they were good.

Do you have a the light and bezel I could buy? Also, off the subject are you still going to go to Moab?

Hey Jason....sorry but I don't have any spares. I got the last set off a parts rig in Oregon over the holidays for a guy. I only have the old style and I only have enough for my 3 projects Frown I do have some brand new front signals and bezels coming very soon from Japan, 8 sets so I could spare one no probs if you want this....?

I might know a guy in BC who has a spare set of the rectangular ones. I will have to check....they are used.

Unforunately I am not going to Moab. I tore all the tendons in my ankle three weeks ago playing on my snow board. Plus my lift kit is not coming so my Patrol will not be ready Frown My Patrol that I was going to take has been sitting since I rebuilt the carb and it just won't be ready since I am not working on it in the snow with a bum ankle! Next year expect to see me there though....what can I say except we don't always get what we want in life!

Yeah Fudd, I would take a spare set when you get them. Any idea when they are due to arrive. Sorry to hear that you won't be able to make Moab. Talk to you later.

Fudd,

Do you have any mirrors that would fit the driver's and passenger's mirror arms?

Hey man....I might have mirrors but probily not the 69's, I'll have to check...I know I have the arms also. The front turn signal assemblies I just got. 4 sets brand new from Nissan Japan! I am keeping three sets so I only have one for-sale....two guys are ahead of you but if they don't want them you can buy a set off me.....these are round though but 100% complete and brand new!
