1979 G60 patrol for sale

^the conversion is $2705 USA dollars plus import costs. Super clean RHD, legal in 3.5 months to import, MWB, very rare late production top side and rear windows plus grill emblem. This is what I am talking for importing Patrols Wink

the 69 in Reno will probably sell for at least few hundred. I am thinking on it but no time or room but Reno is one day drive from me, closer to Sacto. It is worth few hundred at least, $20 without a doubt. The front blinkers are hard as hell to find, I sold a set of 69's for $120 last year. The top worth easy $200 and so on...it is worth somebodies time. Screw your v8 and danas though Razz It needs a 4.2TD, 5spd, transfer with Rock Hoppers and C200's with ARB's! Then it will own built TLC's, Broncos, Jeeps, Rovers...you name it Big Grin

I know Reno is only 2 hours from me. Specially since I drove to South Lake Tahoe to get current Patrol.

4.2 TD, 5speed, C200's---- Let me know when I can get these then it would be cool, UNTIL then Dana's and a V-8 Smile

bah...screw the TLC! You can get any kind of TLC you want already. There is maybe 3 MWB G60's in the USA, last one I saw a 1973 LHD from Belize sold for $13,500 in one week! If a rig is over 25 years old it is easy to import, it just takes lot's of paper work and time, shipping is the most expensive part in it. Although I have a friend who shipped his truck to Costa Rica for $500 from LA...

I will let you know when the 4.2 and so on is available Big Grin Untill then do your redneck v8, dana deal Razz just messing with ya guys anyways...hehe You can find the stuff now yourself but it will be hard and spendy, I hope in a year or two to be able to offer it as I know not just Patrol owners might like to use this stuff for conversions...

Ian, could you give me the measurement on where the centering pins were on the rear leaf springs?

These stupid Chevy springs have a completely centered centering pin. The axle sits pretty far back, so Im figuring the stock springs must have had more forward-placed centering pins... This would be all fine and dandy, but the diff cover sits where it risks hitting my gas tank!! Red Face

Also, Jeepy(Jeff) from the NPCA told me that the Landcruiser's springs sat farther apart than the Patrol. I dont know if that was a typo or just a mistake on his part, but its the other way around. The Patrol's rear springs sat farther apart. So right now, half of each perch actually sits on the springs.

So it looks like I will have to remove the axle and put new spring perches on it... Or remove the current ones and cut new centering pin holes more towards the rear of the perches. Either way, something has to be done...

Oh, and speaking of V-8 Transplants, I was looking at Marks Adapters(I think thats who it was) website, and I found an adapter you can get from Australia to bolt up a HEMI!

I will stick with my I-6 for as long as possible, though...

Drilling out new pin holes for the springs is a BEOTCH! You need a drill press with a carbide tip bit and NO cutting oil....gotta get it real hot to cut and you'll likely eat up a couple bits in the process.
