I wonder if a patrol bumper would fit on my truck. I like that design.

Chevy 400, and the rest is all FJ-40! Can you believe FJ-40 axles would hold up to 44's? He must have a light foot!

That guy's axles will blow out and John's bronco axles will continue to climb. Plus John's Patrol has a much better paint job. You can't compete with camo.

The guy I just bought my FJ-40 rear axle off of just blew his birfs with only 35"s! 44"s would be WAY too much. Think he might be running a mini-truck front axle? That would hold up better than the stock FJ-40 axle, but would not be strong enough to hold 44"s without damage.

Awww yeah.. bench wheeling at its finest. Big Grin

My Patrol only has 4.11:1 gears though and 2:1 transfer. The 302 has enough torque though to move it down the trail. The axles would definitely take a beating with 44s. I think the 36s on mine are too big really.

actually I posted it as sort of a joke...I think the thing is funny. It reminds me of those stomper toys I played with as a kid smiley42

Personally anything over 36-37" tires IMO should only be run on say a Dana 60 or uni/c303 axles. Possibly some of the old ww2 dodge stuff can candle it but those toyo's look soooo wimpy and i think anything under 1ton is worthless for diffs with monster truck tires.
