I hate seeing this, it bugs me a lot. I realize the guy just trying to sell his truck but for $8700 and to claim it one of nicest in USA is a joke! This truck was on ebay a year ago for around $4k not it is back on the net for over twice that. I see a ton not correct or orginal and unless the Patrol market has jumped to new level without my knowing then this rig not worth the cash. He claims it has original horse hair in seats, I mean c'mon man it was not horse hair simply straw! I mean I got a 64 that is more correct and I want less than this guy. My 2 cents is be warry if looking to buy as some people try to make a big profit off the old Patrol. They do not know what they are talking about with the truck and try to take advantage of it's rarity. For example I saw a green 66 rag top for sale on TraderOnline a year ago for $4500. A guy buys it fast and then turns around and gets on NPCA site trying to sell it for $8000! He boasts "this is nicest truck in USA" but it was not correct at all, the doors were screwed and needed work amoung other things. His price came down to $6500 over a week or two as he must have used cash he was not supposed to buy it in hopes of a fast profit. He gets the $6500 and makes a $2k profit simply because he bought it and then resold it. Another example is a 1971 LG60 from Belize that was around the NPCA site for few years. A woman named Jessica bought it in late 90's for about $5-6k...it was very nice and very clean and has been in USA for few years at this point. She sold it for about $6k, a fair deal. A guy in New Jersy buys it, puts in new ring and pinion and a aftermarket heater then turns around and sells it for $13500! He made a huge profit but I guess more power to him....this stuff just bugs me. You can count on me to not be ripping you guys off with Patrols. I will not hide or lie about the trucks I sell nor will I mislead you. I will also prove they are correct and can educate the customer so that they know they are getting a square deal. Any ways enough venting...here is pics of the jacked up in price 67 for sale back east...

whoa...hold up there champ! Not anal about it at all just do not like to see someone talk up a truck not worthy and also try to make some kind of huge profit off it.
Moreoever, if I see what appears to be somewhat or possably a scam dealing with a Patrol then I will let people know. For sale one year on ebay for $4k then on TruckTrader the next for nearly $9k seems a bit fishy to me. Look at the pictures....does it look worth $9k to you!? Paint and seats can be very decieving. They could have painted over rust or it could be full of bondo, I have seen them look nice and be this way. I see front and rear cut fenders, a rebuilt engine that didn't get painted!? Who does that, looks crappy if he really rebuilt engine and didn't paint it. If unrebuilt then it looks good. Incorrect mirrors, unstock front bumper, look at the rear side windows on the top....they do not slide open and are funky. There is more to if you look close. I agree this 67 is nice but way over priced and that is coming from a guy who does not think Patrols get enough respect. I feel Patrols are worth just as much as TLC's but with all the rigs out there for sale the market is not there yet. When that day comes then maybe this rig will be worth $9k untill then best of luck to the seller. Maybe he can get that much, like the guy who sold the LG60 last year. Then it will help to bring up the value of our Patrols. Yet watch out as there are some people out there who buy a rig like this for what they think is cheap and then turn around and talk it up and jack up the price because they think they can make a big profit fast. Not saying that the deal here but it still smells stinky to me....I got a 64 with PTO winch, fresly rebuilt head, new lift kit, tons of extras, tons of new parts and work done, receipts amounting to way more than I am getting out of it...the tires ran me $1300 alone! I will sell it for less than this 67....so does it still sound like a fair deal!? I think not! The 69 John or somebody posted about awhile back is still for sale on TruckTrader and it is under $4k, a much better deal for a much cleaner Patrol. Or the 68 ragtop in canada that was for sale on ebay and is still for sale, he wanted $7500 and it was way way nicer than this 67. It will be a great day when any Patrol like these sell for over $10k all the time but that day is not here and I do not see it coming anytime soon. BTW, if we were talking face to face you would see I am not anal about this stuff just interested and involved. 64 L60 Patrol *project in the works* 64 KL60 Patrol "Hogan" -67 145 HP engine -Koenig stock PTO winch -7.50x16 Michelin XZL's -Rancho 5000's 66 KL60 Patrol "Admiral Togo" -40K original miles -245-75R15 Cooper Discoverers on stock 15" split rims & caps |

NOPE that simply won't do!
Even I deserve to be bashed once in a while, seriously. I knew you were kidding, same as me telling you that you are a turd. Mostly I put these treads up so people can see the pictures as they are the best part of the post. I type a lot at times because I got a lot to say or nothing better to do. Sometimes even I take some pain pills and then it is even more messy It is the interents fault, all of it! If we were sitting in same room talking there would be no need for faces as very easy to tell how a person is in real life. I have no doubt that many people online think I am anal and a jerk but oh well, no point in trying to convince people I am not 64 L60 Patrol *project in the works* 64 KL60 Patrol "Hogan" -67 145 HP engine -Koenig stock PTO winch -7.50x16 Michelin XZL's -Rancho 5000's 66 KL60 Patrol "Admiral Togo" -40K original miles -245-75R15 Cooper Discoverers on stock 15" split rims & caps |

They did a good job with the fender hacking though... you gotta give them that...
I think they made a mistake putting that mirror there... "Tsunami" still has rust from the stock ones... "TSUNAMI" 1969 Nissan Patrol Chevy K-10 Springs FJ-40 Rear Axle Original driveshaft, slightly modified Custom shackles 79,000 Original Miles! |

agreed it is nice...but not worth the $9k he wants, just my honest opinion. I do agree on the hacked fenders too, well done for hacking.
I can not believe you never wheeled your 66 John!? WTF man!!?? You know though I have heard this before with modded rigs. Seems they constanly have problems, some guys say it is because the truck was not designed for what we have done to them and this is the reason...almost like the spirit of the rig is just not going to have this conversion that has been done to it! It seems to me for a modded project you must take it down to the frame, do your modding from there but also rebuild everything. Fuel system, charging system, cooling system, lubercating system, brakes, wiring...everything needs to be rebuilt from new. Basically same thing as a resto but with the modded stuff added in. That way you know it is all new and shouldn't have to deal with all the little bugs coming out later. Seems that way anyhoo.... In a wyt it is the same with an unmodded truck, like my 64 KL60. Everytime if fix something or rebuidl something and then take it out and wheel it I got a new set of problems. I thought I was set with it untill blew the head gasket. Sooner or later though the stuff can't go wrong as it is been completly rebuilt. Like all the probs I had in the spring with my fuel system, now they are no trouble at all and with a Weber better than new! The charging system was giving me probs too recently. New battery, voltage reg and ALT, even new fan belt and custom ALT bracket. Still the thing would drain my battery! Once I really checked it out I found the 40 year old battery cables to be shotty. So we replaced both battery cables with all new ones and new ends. Now it is not a problem at all....only thing left is a battery isolator and bracket to hold it secure. Seems the cables and last thing I fixed was the problem. 64 L60 Patrol *project in the works* 64 KL60 Patrol "Hogan" -67 145 HP engine -Koenig stock PTO winch -7.50x16 Michelin XZL's -Rancho 5000's 66 KL60 Patrol "Admiral Togo" -40K original miles -245-75R15 Cooper Discoverers on stock 15" split rims & caps |

The 66 has had LOTS of problems. Many of them were due to electrical issues caused by the previous owner who fried the wiring.
It needs a lot of work, but if i can JUST get the electricals and overheating issue sorted, it'll be trailable. ---------------------------- BEEFYJames Fabrication - Custom Fabricated for Use and Abuse M.E.S.A. - Modified Easterly Swanky Associates |
