Wink I think about $20 worth of battery cabling at Checkers and the starting problems will be sorted. Im gonna pull the thermostat housing this weekend and see what I find. If no luck there, i'm gonna have the rad cored and look into some way to mabye fit a larger fan or even weld up a custom low profile engine driven fan.

I was lookin at the hardtop the other day.. the roofrack on it is way tall.. Its like 10" tall all the way around! I'll take some pics for you so you can see what I'm talkin about. I would cut it off though personally.. would make the truck too top heavy and way too tall to fit in a garage.

Well, the color of the first one is pretty close to what I'd like for mine...

The color is cool on it....definately better than the camo on your's now Greg! Wink Helps it look sharp, not sure about stock correct color though as he states in his ad. I am under the impression that the blues or blue offered was lighter.

Yeah, it looks a little more purple than what I think of the stock. I saw one on Ebay that was owned by a Nissan dealer and claimed it was the original color that was close to that but a little less purple.
Mine has housepaint on it that's starting to mold. It was pretty funny when the guy said I might as well take the paint in case I needed to touch up and
handed me the two cans of latex. smiley44

Oh yeah, there's plenty of texture... 11doh
I've had the offer of having help sandblasting and painting it once it's rolling. *Sigh* I really need to get my truck more together so I can get serious about the Patrol engine...

LOL...yea that kind of thing is typical on some Patrols. My 64 ragtop had been only half painted with a brush and house paint! Guess they ran out of paint before it got finished. Why in the world some people do these kind of things is way beyond me. Maybe it is just in their nature to make something worse than before they got it!

I say tarp off the truck Greg and work on it as much as you can this winter. You can always do everything except the engine and be looking for the right one while you work on the body, drivetrain and so forth. I just got very lucky and secured a big shop for the winter, with floor heated concrete!! It is frigging huge, big enough for 3 patrols and the Pinz plus room to work. Not to mention it is fully outfitted with big compressor, drill press, grinders, benches, anvil, vise and so forth, yea I am very stoked on it! I will be working on my trucks nearly full time once the snow hits. This is good as 3 need work and two need to be taken apart. I need to tear down the two parts rigs to make space in storage and also to make it easy to part out. Don't even have the RMP&O webby ready and I am getting swamped with emails for parts! Big Grin

Man, that's what I need - a garage. Yeah, I'm going to buy a car cover for it when I get a chance to get over where I can buy one. At least it'll be easier to keep the snow off...

I think people do stuff like housepaint on Patrols because they have no concept of quality in our throw-away culture... Roll Eyes

The only brush my Patrol will see is for the black lines between the colors on the camo and some bedliner on the interior!

Really though, Greg... Your Patrol looks good for a brush job...
