I found a Patrol way in the middle of frickville today on one of my searches though the unchartered territories here in Northern AZ. It had a perfect hardtop, even my Patrol's color. The thuck does not run anymore, but turns out this 50 year old guy's dad bought the truck back in the sixties so he won't sell it. I think it isn't running because it needs a tune up. But this guy does not want fix up the truck. I even told him that I would help him to find the parts to get it running again. He said he just is going to leave it there. "to rot" is more like it.

Yeah the current picture in not the most recent. I love the super swapers. I can't wait to get back east so that I can get back in some REAL mud!

I plan on working that guy again. Maybe he will sell me some parts or at least I want to be sure I'm first in line if he decides to sell the Patrol.

Right now I'm brewing a freah batch of Alpine Amber Ale. If you ever can muster enough strenght to comeout to Flagstaff for vacation I let you have some. it is real good!

sooner or later that guy will either kick it and die, then someone will get his Patrol or he will pull his head out of his arse and listen to you. If not will then another Patrol bites the dust. It bums me out too but in the end it just makes my Patrols worth more

Just keep reminding him that you are still interested in the truck.. and that it will have a GOOD home. If he starts to come around, let him know he can see the truck anytime he wants and that it'll be treated well.

Stop in time to time to see the truck.. he'll come around. Just dont be rude or pushy with the guy though, hes attatched to the truck because it was his father's.

the guy might be attatched to the truck emotionally but see if he would like to be physicly attatched to a few Benjamin's instead! i bet waving some money around would make him think about it.

yesterday I was loading full sheets of plywood into my truck and seen a patrol that looked just like yours jmcallis, same paint sceme and all (the way it looks in your sig pic), I tried to catch him (On foot) and was out of luck, (I tripped on a fricken brick running around the house, hope no one seen this ) If had not been for plyboard I would have probably went after him in the truck

This has been the first Patrol I have ever seen in Des Moines.

Yeah, anything that old in Iowa that was used in the winter that long would be rusted away to nothing.
