Do you guys think it would look stupid to put diamond plate on the top of the fenders like they do on Rovers?

I think it'd be pretty cool. Just don't put your spare on the hood. That looks dumb

well, I alway liked how it looks but it is kinda a Rover trade mark. Plus it seems to me that it is prone to rot your fenders. I think a fender that is clean is best for long life. Just my oninion though....

I was thinking of doing it to hide my screwed up fenders

Personally, I like it on the sides or wrapped around the rear, but on top looks kinda funny to me. Maybe it's because of the contrast in this case - if it were powdercoated black I'd like it better. I think part of it is I like the top profile of the Patrol and think it would detract. But what do I know?

heh... a lot of TLC's have diamond plate in the back and sides to hide rot or to protect against it. I say put it where you like...had not thought of powder coating it and that idea I do dig. The gun metal silver i did the rims in would looks cool for the plate! I don't like the polished that much as to flashy and I agree with Greg on the body lines, they are cool as is on a P-troll. I like how John used it for door pannels and I may do the same on a rig or two, may go all interior pannels like this especially powder ocated.
