I wanted to know if any of you had experience adjusting a stack E-brake on a Patrol. Mine is a 69. It looks like the E-Brake works as a tranny Brake, not a wheel brake. Is this true? If so is there some sort of adjustment? Mine will hold, but weakly and only on the last click.

Thanks,

Jason

Yeah, it's a band that contracts around the rear of the tcase. I kinda wish mine hadn't worked so well - I might still be driving it... This might help, from the FSM:

It also says to replace the lining if it's worn excessively or hardened.

Thanks man, I will look into adjusting the brake. I guess I should have looked at it more closely, but just the thought of that style of braking system seemed to strange. I'll give it a shot when I get back from vacation in Mexico in about a week.
