I got my new (to me) Patrol friday afternoon. A '91 long wheel base 4-door with the RD28T Turbo Diesel 6-cylinder engine. The truck is absolutely rust-free and runs like a champ. The tranny was overhauled not long ago, the clutch is new as are the brakes.
The truck's running 235/85R16's (~32x9.5") on the stock 16x6" wheels for now. I'll upgrade to either 255/85R16 (33.5x10.5) on the stock wheels or maybe 285/75R16 (32x11.5) if I get a set of 16x8 steelies for cheap.
I've done about 300mls visiting friends over the weekend, including some light wheeling and was impressed about the comfy ride even with the leaf springs front and rear.
Next thing to do for me is taking out the 3rd seat row and install the camping stuff to get my RV registration (dirt cheap insurance ~500$/year incl. full coverage) and mount an intercooler for the turbo. The stock engine oil cooler will be replaced with a bigger one and the windows get a deep black tint since we have about 100+F for months now here in europe.
Pics will be uploaded as soon as I get the chance to take some.
