Not to knock it, but the more I look at that patrol the more it reminds me of an FJ-80. I assume you have FJ-80's down there, how does it compare?

Yes we got some , very few, but obviously the Patrol is a direct competitor to the FJ80s, but the difference is that the Patrol STILL is being produced with SAS , great engine (4.8 lt VTC with 280 Hp) and all the goodies that all of us appreciate (electrically locking diffs, electrically disengaging sway bars, etc. etcx,). The Land Cruiser has evolved to a plush SUV with IFS with nice appointments.
Sizewise they look pretty similar old FJ80 vs Patrol.-

your truck looks almost exactly the same as my friend Hectors in Colombia. He has a 2005 though with the 4.8L and 2" OME lift. Same color, same size tire, ect. He paid a lot for it but he lucked out in that it has only 15000k's on it. It sat for a few years so the fuel tank got rusty and the injectors had probs. When he bought it he made Nissan replace the fuel tank, injectors and all fuel lines under warranty!

I drove it several times. And all I could say over and over is...man this pisses me off I can't buy one of these! Damn I am jealous of you Hector! LOL

The truck is beyond sweet and I would buy one in a heart beat if I could. Here is a pic of Hectors...

Wow nice, yes its close. that 4.8 lt engine with Vtc is so sweet ... 270 Hp ... mine is only 200 Hp and 4.5 lt bu still nice mill. Different grille and front bumper. Mine has 4" lift an 35" tired on 15" alloys. Hector's has smaller tires and also got stock 16" alloys as I see (newer one have larger brake rotors), I guess its closer to 33" tires on 16" wheels.

the other day a 2003 4.8 was for sale here close to US$ 35.000 ... my 2000 cost me US$ 20.000 plane Jane, now it costs a little more ... Devil

JP that's a clean looking wagon you got there mate.

Should look @ making yourself a custom tube bar possibley for it as the ARB bar's are going to cost you a fortune. I just sold one today I had made for me & there's plenty of them getting around to give you some ideas as to what you might want Cool

Thanks a lot mate, sadly front bumper custom bars (like I used to have on my ex Navara) are illegal here in Chile , and the ARB bull bars still look somehow "factory". I still should disassemble it once a year to pass the yearly inspection. I always have liked the Aussie look of those GU covered in ARB gears, so don't kill my magic ... Chug
