Smile There's being thorough and then there's Fudd Welder You are quite the metalsmith.
The last pic of the tub upside down it looked like you welded in additional support angle braces and before that there're before/after pics of rusty areas- with the after pics turning black. Is that a "rust converter" you're using prior to welding up the body panel patches?

Wow, there's a LOTTA love in that. Amazing. I'd take one look at all that rust and probably just go off drinking somewhere.

yea we put in 18 braces under the rear floor. It was the only way to get the floor straight! It should be hella strong now. Also yes the inner body structures are rebuilt. On the rear of the tub the pillars were rotten clean through which is a problem. To either side of the rear doors had no support left so they have been rebuilt using plate steel. And lastly..yes the entire truck has been treated with rust nuetralizer.

This actually is not that much rust on a P-troll DR. This truck is from 60 miles north of the Mexican border so it lived for 40 years in the desert. I have had P-trolls come through the shop with 10x the rot in them. One I have now, a 65, is rotten so bad there is holes the size of dinner plates in it! I am kinda planning to just weld the holy crap out of it and use the tub for a P-troll I can trashed hard and not care.

I have said before this 64 soft top P-troll will be one of the nicest in the USA when finished. I am not kidding about that! Big Grin

I should probily tell you all....this is not my work. Roll Eyes

I referr to it using "we" because it is my project and also I am in charge of the project. But the welding and steel patch work was not done by my hand. There are a bunch of reasons why I didn't do the work but the #1 reason is simply that I did not have this level of skill when the frame off started. I will be finishing the project though as I feel all the rest of it I can handle. And I have the shop and tools now.

To see my work, which is not as impressive go here....

Fudds frame off
