hey thanks! Big Grin

I am really happy with it, the truck rides simply awesome. Clearance came up a lot, the fuel tank is like 24" off the ground. It handles sweet in corners too and I was rallying it around last night on snowed over roads. My passangers were amazed at how well it cornered on slick stuff. The truck runs as good as it looks too....I think I am going to have the 16" rims powder coated white. Buy some brand new AVM hubs and rebuild the knuckle flanges. I think a 255/75R16 would fit on this truck now, that is about a 33.3" tire. That would bring the diff up to 11" of more...not bad for my lowest spot!

How wide are the stock rims? A 255 tire should be run on a 7" rim for best wear.

anyways, I'm drooling over both this one And the blue one.

I think the rim is 6.5" wide. How would it wear mounted to a narrow rim? One reason the 255 is good is that it is tall and skinny...I know Buckshot makes some mudders in the 255.

I am going to try and take some pics of this 66 and the 64 next to some FJ45 pickups in town here. Both my trucks are way more buff and pictures will prove it! Also will try to get some pics of both the 64 & 66 next to each other lifted. Nissans rule!

4 banger D21s and D22's were equipped from the factory with 15x6 and 15x7 wheels and 235/75/15's. My Xterra came stock with 16x7 wheels and 265/70/16's. On a metric tire (you probably already know this), sizing is as follows:

255 (width in mm) / 75 (aspect ratio = % of tread width that equals the sidewall height / 16 (rim diameter).

If a 235 tire works on a 6-7" rim well, the 255 should work OK on a 6.5" rim, though a 7" rim would probably be a tick better. The worst that will happen is that the tread will wear a little more in the center of the contact patch, but on the plus side, you'll have excellent bead protection, and your sidewalls will be tucked in a bit as not to get torn by rocks.

POR15 or any aircraft stripper will remove it...for that matter they will remove any paint.

Jeff in Denver has an engine from a 65 for $500. I lost the other guys info, sorry..I would keep emailing him. Maybe he is away or doesn't check the account often.

Go by any hardware store and get this product in a paint-thinner type can. I got it from Ace Hardware for like $4 for half-gallon can. Its called "Strypeeze". It is really some good stuff, and its cheap, too! If it can de-wood a whole Jeep Grand Wagoneer, it can definitely strip that soft-arse latex house paint! I figure 3 cans tops.
