Hey all...

I posted a long thread over on the NPCA site. Instead of double posting it here I will just inform you guys. It is long so I will spare your boards Eek but if you own a Patrol or want to own one or just really really dig them then head on over there read my post and please reply. It is titled "Looking for feed back from enthusiasts..." I might get something going in the next 6 months to a year and wonder what people think of it as I would hate to waste my time.

Thanks!

I think that is wonderful Idea specially for me because in Comi-Kalifornia doesn't seem to be to many of these old patrol around. If you want to I can start offering some bolt in cages and maybe some bumpers made out of DOM tubbing or how about some a full Exo-Cage Smile

thnx guys....it has been an idea of mine for a long time but feel it is time to stop thinking and start acting. It will definately take me 6 months to a year to get it off the ground as I am behind in my real business. Like I say be small start too and it will take a bit of cash to get going. With all the feedback in under 24hrs I also agree it will rock!

Sacto...that is exactly what I am looking for is people to help and sell their products through me. I am not out to make $$ on it just have it pay for it's self. I would be way into roll bars you make if they kick arse and also other items. Be paitent but lets talk!

Fudd, I say why not. If you are able to plan out production dates and deliver when promissed I feel that we Patrol owners would be very pleased to have a resource like that here in the US. Keep us posted on your progress.

progress goes slllloooowww..

If I had $50k or even 10k to dump into it I could get it going fast but I do not. I did make a little headway last few days. A got a line on cool Nissan Patrol tire covers, I am testing the first one and already made arrangements to buy in bulk. A friend in Columbia sent me about 50 unbelievable pictures the other day. Seems a shop down there make ALL body pannels. They are brand new and look hand made but quality. They also have aftermarket parts for the Patrol such as items NLA from Nissan. If and when I make it down there I will go and see the shop, meet the people and try ot get arrangments made to start buying this stuff and bringing it into the USA. Also while working on my 64 I am finding other things that can be gotten at Napa. Things like body grouments and rubber parts. These I will also stock and resell. I am working on it but it is slow going....

body mounts can be made fairly easily....I am also sure they hjave them in Columbia. I will try to put up pictures of the body parts made down there. I could not believe it but they also make a very very rare Patrol embalm that mounts to the front grill, it only came on 78-79 Patrols. It is huge and chrome and just says NISSAN but it is hella cool. I am putting one on my 64 Wink Hopefully I can get down there soon as I am excited to see what is going on in Columbia!

Well dudes...

I have been working on this a lot lately. The name of my company is Rocky Mountain Patrol & Off Road or as I like to call it RMP&O. I just finished the story board of how I want the site to be laid out. I have 2 friends helping me to build it. I plan to have at least the front page up within 2 weeks. If somebody would buy my 64KL then I will have a lot in stock to start, will spend most all the cash from sale of the truck on parts. If not, well I am just spending more money on the 64! It keeps getting more stuff on it like the new Weber carb and this makes the price increase so I will probably never sell it. Any ways, I am excited to get it online and offer things to people...even if it is not parts I am offering!

will do DR...as this is probaly my fav Nissan site on the web Wink

I owe a lot to other people as much of my info and parts sources is due to them. So will have a thank you or noteable people area on my site to show who has helped and make sure they get reconized. Plus there will be a forum and I hope you all will particapate in it...site may be up in few weeks or few months as I got tons going on and so do the peeps helping me. Yet it is happening so I hope it will not flop as I will have cash and time into it and am trying to keep the Patrols alive more than anything else.

BTW, I just finished up my first deal with my buddy in Columbia. For $700 I am getting the following with shipping included. Once I get my Import license then I can go down there and make arrangements to start importing body parts. At what they cost me I will be able to resell body parts at what I think is a very fair price...floor pans and seat frame only costing me $52! He sent me a price list and it is unbelievably cheap for body parts!! Plus I got a dual MC coming that cost $59!! Oh yea.... Big Grin here is what I got for $700 and mind you $200 is for shipping by air.

Drag bar x1
Short drag bar x1
Tie rod x1
Big emblem x2 and a very cool huge Nissan emblem only found on 79 Patrol, all chrome too!
small emblem x2 these are different than early as Nissan is almost in italics, cool stuff
tie rod ends x4
Rear brake cilinder x4
Turn signal x6
joint drag bar x1
Jap Knucle f. seal x2
Col Knucle f. seal x2
Floor and seat frame x1
Master dual brake cil. x1
