deja vu:

I had to have posted this in the past about my other Patrol. Anyway, I went with the Petronix Ignitor Electronic ignition set. I found it for only 65 bucks. I looked closely at my points yesterday and they had some heavy corrosion and seemed quite thin. I really have no idea how long points are supposed to last so I figured it was a no brainer to upgrade along with all my other new tune up parts.

The patrol should run GREAT with a pertronix. That was another thing I wanted to do to it, but just never got around to it.

Considering how much of an improvement the pertronix made on my Unimog over the points, it should be night and day difference.

make sure you take some pictures of the install. Maybe even write up a how-to.

Well seemed to work great. Starts even better now. Sorry no pictures (mostly because the how tos that exist on the web for old 302 engines are everywhere). I even used one from a mustang site.
