hello Titus...welcome to N4W!

Actually this is not a problem for me at all and I own 5 Patrols. Not a single person has ever asked if it is a Jeep. I have heard like many Patrol owners "is the some kind of LandRover"? Yet ever since I got myself a tire cover that says NISSAN PATROL in big letters nobody asks what I drive. Razz

I looked around you site and in the forum too. I see nothing Patrol or Nissan anywhere. I also see it says "exclusively Landcruiser". Did I miss something?

I think you will find that the few Patrols owners around here are die hard Nissan guys or that they own a P-troll because the FJ's are highly over priced. I would imagine that you guys over at Ih8mud are interested in the Patrol because it is similar to the TLC. Yet, these trucks are in a completly different ball park due to the lack of support they have gotten in the USA for the last 40 years! There was a total of 2616 Patrols sold in the USA and that makes them very different than the all to common FJ's. In my small town I know of at least 2 FJ45 SWB pickups and many many FJ40's but the only other Patrol here besides mine has been missing for the last 5 years. So be aware that the owners of these trucks are a bit different than owners of the TLC's. The TLC and Patrol have been major competitors for the last 50 years and I do not see that changing, in fact I know many guys in Australia who owned TLC's and dumped them for the better built P-troll! Wink

While we welcome you to N4W and are interested in anything P-troll I fail to see what Ih8mud has to offer us Patrol owners. Possibly we are welcome at your club rallies and that is cool, I would love to outdo an FJ any day in my P-trolls! Wink Of course you and anyone who likes the Patrol are welcome to particapate in this forum. Yet, I myself do not feel the need to be bombarded by questions form TLC owners or get bashed because I think my trucks are better...so for the time being I will keep to the websites and forums dedicated to the Patrol and Nissan.

The last thing I feel the need to say is that if you and your members have an interest in the Patrol then visit my website at www.rmp-o.com and read over the history of the Patrol found in the vehicle info section. Knowing the trucks that interest us is the best place to start, don't you agree?
