OMG...that thing is ugly!! Razz heh..just kidding ya man!

Your kick vents look different on one side, is LHS custom job? i thought you said rear fenders cut...hard to tell but they look ok. The body does look pretty straight. Just tell your wife that NO women will even look at you driving that truck around! Wink

Drivers rear is cut (trimed) and there is a little trim on passenger rear not like the drivers rear though. It's straight except for some rust hole on top of both fenders and on drivers vent. The vents are totaly stock least as far as I know.

The bad sheetmetal is in the back quater pannel and were the tire carrier was at did some damage to sheetmetal.

I decided last night that I am not going to screw around with it anymore and I am taking the whole patrol down to the frame and rebuilding it.

Dude, the mis-matched kick panel vents are just like the ones on my 69. Im beginning to think mis-matched kick panel vents are normal on 69's or something.

Looks like a nice project!

buy a sand blaster if you do not have one!! Get the best rust breaking liquid you can and when putting it back together use anit sieze on it all. Be ready to drill bolts and of course welding will be involved. Other than the bashed knucles it will be fun for you! I got 2 to take to the frame this winter so I just bought new cut off tool in preperation. All the rotten spots you mention are very common on Patrols, people didn't wash them and the debris sits in these spots and rots the steel. Yet on non-69's the fenders usually ok as no mirrors mounted there.

Keep us posted man...and I know you are going to need lot's of parts! Wink

oh yea...the tires look decent, if on stock rims and you do not want I will take them or trade ya ???

One thing I can tell ya guys for sure to do if you have a good steering wheel. Buy a cover man as the sun will trash it fast. I had good one on my 64 KL60, with top off all summer it fadded badly and just started to crack. As soon as I saw the crack I put a wheel cover on it.

yep I sure do...either used from my stash or brand new from down south. Do you just need grill or the complete front end piece between the fenders?
