trust me, until the club is incorporated and you have insurance, you do NOT want to be recognized as an officer of the club, or you are personally liable for pretty much everything. If someone gets drunk at a club function and crashes, you're liable. If someone gets in a wreck during a club function, you're liable. If someone falls and breaks their ankle during a club event, you're liable.

We don't have any 'official' club events or functions.

Couldn't we sign and have notarize (Held Harmless) waviers by all who participate at least untill we have insurance. Something like the waviers we sign when we became paid and active card holder members of the TMTC....... A Held Harmless wavier to "TNT" (Texas Nissan Trucks), the club, it's officers and members.

we would probably have to pay a lawyer to go over them. This is stuff we need to get together on the 22nd and all of us talk about in person. By then we will have a secretary to record most of the meetings..
