You may have to at least get a lawyer to send them a letter. It will cost them X amount of dollars to get there lawers involved so chances are they will just fix it to pacify ya. I'm tellin you if you can get a list of names, you can show the dealer that you know of the problem wheather they want to admit it or not.

I took them 15 pages of posts from TitanTalk of people who have blown their diffs, and 95% of them had it covered by warranty... I guess I should ask them all what dealership they all went to and the names of their service advisors and take that to him...
damn, this is too much work... smiley35

Unfortunately, they don't care. I went all the way to the point of getting ready to go to court with my lawyer. They have plenty of lawyers and money, and know the average person isn't going to do it because it'll cost you as much (or more) than fixing the vehicle, which is exactly why I didn't do it. I even had the DEALER and his mechanics on my side. Hell, they signed paperwork stating it was NOT due to my tranny gauge, and since it was the same i.d. as the steel lines, it could not have raised line pressure. It didn't matter. I had many conference calls with the owner of the dealership, the service manager, the mechanic, and myself to nissan u.s.a.

A-Rod, good luck, and I hope you screw them over. I would ask them for their legal department at this point, and start sending certified letters to them. That's how I got started.

Why did Nissan go with Dana rear ends and aluminum front diffs? Ever since 05 when this change was made across the board Nissan has had major problems with their axles.?

Just to let you know its not a TRUE Dana its a hybrid. And the went with it to sell trucks!!! It works. The sad thing is Ill be going ford axles this year when I SAS and I hate fords.

And in our area its not the dealerships that are turning us down its the Local Nissan inpector/rep is. The guy thinks he is some sort of metalergist(sp). If you can be there when he looks at your truck as him if he remembers this happening to a 05 fronty in jax about a year ago.

Chevyman, do you have a name and mailing address I can send a letter informing them that if they don't correct the problem they are having and take care of the crap that is out there I will not even give them the oppurtunity to sell me my next truck. I already went Mazda with my wife's car so a mixed driveway will not bother me.

Sorry man, I got rid of all contact info. My dealer had given me the number for who I needed to call at nissan u.s.a. and I got the legal dept # from them.

I got a card last week asking me when I was going to purchase a new Nissan truck and I sent them back a letter containing some of these posts.I told them that they had better get their shit together or they would be losing a hardcore, longterm buyer. Red Face

they are not going to warranty my diff... assholes...

but, thats ok... thats my excuse to go ahead and sas...

so I asked them if all I had to do was pull the shafts to make it drivable, they said everything has to go (diff, shafts, and d-shaft) and they want $400+ to take that chit out... are you f-ing kidding me?!?! I am pretty confident that pulling axle shafts on this truck is easy, but I don't have the tools to pull the driveshaft... should I just bite the bullet and let them do it, or try to take it somewhere else?!?

also, I had to sell the axle that I had bought a few months back (kinda got into a pinch for $$, but anyway....), so if any of you guys have a spare d60 lying around, I'm your man Wink...

That is freakin shitty. I'd get a second, or even a 3rd opinion, and write one hellova complaint to Nissan Motors. Also, put an ad in your paper complaining publicly about this dealership and Nissan Motors in general.

However, the idea of a SAS'ed titan rollin with 60s under it does sound pretty damn awesome.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Frown

hillbille is right. They are not going to give you anything, you need to fight for this one. Seriously, you need to fight for this. You might get lucky and only end up costing you a $300 letter from a lawer on his letterhead. At least contact Nissan corperate, the worst they can say is no and you are already used to hearing that.
