FrownI've seen quite a few posts on other forums dealing w/ Titan problems, such as:
... brake rotors warp
... active brake limited slip causes fishtailing on muddy roads
... rattling body mounts
... auto trans shifts funny or fails

Is everyone happy w/ theirs?

ANother problem listed is the diffs being low on lube and making mucho noise. MIght want to crack the fill plug and dip a pinky to be safe.

Stone, Are you driving like Grandpa or is there a local dragstrip where you can "air it out"...?

Wink DorkI'm approaching this from the philosphy of a traditional "burn in" which is another way of saying stress it until it breaks( or not) to prove it's worth( or not). If( or not) then at least it's under warranty lol.

PeeThen there's a possible problem w/ leaky cabs... DOn't know if it's the third brake light issue or something else. Might want to be extra agressive w/ carwashing or driving in rainstorms to see if you can make it leak.

Bugs stick to the windshield too. Where the hell is the recall for that? That's just ridiculous having to wash a window on the truck!

On the Titantalk forum I read about people checking their rear differential and finding them low on gear oil. So I checked mine, sure enough I stuck my pinky as far down in there as possible and barely felt any. Drained it out and added 2 1/2 quarts of mobil 1 gear oil. The owners book calls for 2 3/8 pints. I think some one has got it wrong in the factory. "

My rear diff paint is peeling off and the cover is rusting up like its been overheating.I haven't checked the fluid yet, but I'm sure its pretty much non-existant. Oh well thats what warranties are for Roll Eyes

Here's a good thread to check on problem's on the Titan... someone even made a spreadsheet as far as problems according to DOB.

after flipping thru the titantalk forums, i'm not so hot on the titan. there's WAY to many probs with it. maybe in a year or 2 when they get everything worked out i'll get one.
still though even where people are discussing the probs they still say they would do it again cause the truck is so badass.

Even with the problems I've had which are very minor, I tell anyone who is in the market for a truck you need to buy this one! There's no way I could live without this truck now... it's the best truck I've ever owned. I'm a Ford tech and these problems with the Titans are nothing compared to some of these Fords. I took our Tranny tech for a test drive in my Titan, he picks his up next week Cool

Guess the saying is true. Never buy the first year of a new line. 350Z steering comes to mind and the electrical problems with the Dodge Rams when they first came out with the new body style.

WTF? Did someone say they burn Gas!!?? Geez!

Cha and this whole bugs/dirt on the windsheild...I dunno...

Really, I think the Titan is stacking up to be one of the best truck buys around now. When Its my turn to buy a "car" again This is high on the list.

I see ProComp has a 6" lift for 'em too....

Ya couldn't get me to drive a dodge if they gave me one (I'd sell it and get a Titan)

Sounds like some pretty minor problems.. At least its not breaking down all the time and costing thousands of dollars every couple months like my Ford does... could be a LOT worse. Wink
