Your truck isn't as wide. I think he was trying to avoid the overhang on his R/side. edit: After seeing this again, I noticed that the overhang is nowhere near. A 2'x 2' steel plate w/ quite a few predrilled, and chamfered holes drilled around the perimeter and the rest of the plate... or just someone's skidplate... some 10gauge steel wire in the recovery kit would also come in handy in tying chit back together. ..................... The mog axles do that from time to time as well if you are really beating on them.
