This is pretty wild...

They were running Highway to Hell last weekend and managed to flop their 404 troop carrier unimog. In the process, they sheared the bolts between the steering arm and knuckle. After grabbing some tools and 30 min of repair, they drove it out the next morning.

My neighbor was the spotter and he said it was his fault.. bad spotting on his part.

No biggie though.. the mog is almost finished being fixed.

So it was someone else driving the mog with the owner spotting?

The owner and driver is my neighbor's father. My neighbor was the spotter.

Actually, both of them are my neighbors, as they both live down the street (though in different directions).

They both are constantly wrenching on the mog. The bed on it, they narrowed from stock. Said it does much better with the narrow bed, which I can believe.

FWIW, the son flopped his Jeep grand cherokee and broke both driveshafts and one pinion within 15 minutes that same day on the same trail. Those guys are pretty hardcore. The Jeep has been rolled at least twice and flopped 3-4 times.

"Mommy, the beer bottles broke"

Decent vid, most of the time the camera man seems to freak out in mid flop.

Yep, the maroon jeep is Brian's wife's Jeep. Its been to hell and back. Thats the one they flopped and broke last weekend. They replaced it with the new silver Grand Cherokee, but even its now got neato custom rocker panels from the Coke Ovens.

I think Brian will be going on the AZ Run next year. He would go this year, but hes going to the Chili Challenge in NM.

Everyone with a beer is probably not the best press for 4 wheelers, but it's a pretty cool vid. Definitely an interesting line chosen there.
