What truck?? Wink

The camo is really good. The truck almost disappears in some of those photos.

Dude Alan... It was ridiculously easy to do. Robert helped w/ the masking and painting tan, I did the camo pattern.

If I had to do it again, I would do the tan with a sprayer, and paint... not rattle cans. Doesn't look bad, but I bet I would have gotten a better end result, had I just used paint. (I already have a sprayer and drier).

So, with that being said, when are you coming down??? Cool

Not sure yet. I want to do something with the paint though due to the fenders not matching, the bondo on the passenger door and the nice burn mark I have on the top of the bed. What was the cost and how long did it take you? Also, what kind of prep did you have to do? Lot of sanding?

Total cost for paint (all krylon rattle cans), was about 90 bux.

I got home from work around 4pm, and met Robert at the house. We promptly started wetsanding the truck, using 400 grit paper. By 9pm, the entire truck was wet sanded, and all the weather stripping was masked (I didn't have any newspaper, so we stopped). We threw a plastic drop cloth between the cab and bed, and painted the bed as well.

Most of Saturday was painting everything else. We got started around 10am, and I think I closed the garage around 5 or so.

We started aroung 10am but was walking inside at 4pm, and alot of the later afternoon was debating, not painting. Using real auto paint is a bitch, as it has to have a dust free area for 2 hours, and a 12 hour cure time.

We took it out for painting. Greg wants to add more renforcement, and sand off the rust, and put paint on it. I am sure we will see it again soon.

Am I the only one who thinks its ridiculous that you took a picture while driving through the desert while leaning the camera out your window at 55?

Other than that, it looks really good!
