I love my .45, and after shooting 2.5k rounds thru it, I've only had one failure to load, and that was due to a defective round (that I wasn't paying attention while loading).

I'll be at that gun show this weekend probably on Saturday.

I don't really want to get a folding stock. My friend has one on his 870 Express and I dont like how it sits. I would rather get another 500a for cheap and throw a 26" barrell on it.

keep an eye out for the 500a combo with a long and short barrel.
actually if you just want a longer barrel check out wallyworld. they have good prices but they dont sell the short barrel i was after.

Big 5 Sporting Goods is always having the 2 barrell combo 500a deal. Same price too!

Sportin a heat shield. I had to modify this to fit the Tactical Cruiser. This shield DID NOT fit "all Mossberg 500 Models." Hopefully, it will stay put. I had to modify the front because the Cruiser does not have a bead sight. Also, the barrel is wider, and would not allow the bolts to be used. Instead, I carefully used a metal shaping hammer, and bent the brackets around, "clamping" the shield to the barrel. I will find out how this works when I go shooting.

I also added a tactical flashlight mount to the rear pistol grip. I was afraid that my front arm would block the light, but it doesn't.

Dang Greg i didnt know you had the door buster! that thing is SWEET! i played with a few but didnt get one. besides the bad ass barrel you have the fore grip i want with the big ridges and strap. bastard!

i filled a online shopping cart full of crap but i think im going to check local stores before i buy online.

My tactical cruiser is like the one pictured on the web site... I saw another cruiser at Sportsman's that was totally different. The black finish was glossy (mine is matte). The front and rear stocks were made of a a bluish carbon fiber, and the butt stock was similar to an AR-15. Also, the magazine tube caps are different.

Modding these things is dangerous... you can rack up several hundred with just the swipe of a card, haha.

I found that anything from Advanced Technologies is hard to find in store - you might have better luck. Everything I wanted from them, I had to order.... so I found good prices at www.combathunting.com

My "arsenal" is pretty limited... The shotty, a Marlin .22, the XD45, a Gerber LMF II Tactical knife, a spyderco serrated blade, a Scorpion II Luxeon LED flashlight, and a Gerber Multi-plier.

I'd like to add another shotty (I like the Turkey Shooter series), as well as a .308 or 30-06

the stock i want is an ATI. i saw on 1 site that they regard the ATI stuff as general crap, so i'll take a look at some stuff tomorrow and see what i can find. www.combatstocks.com is where i have been looking. i'll check out the site you linked.

I have a Maverick 88 (cheaper brand of the Mossberg 500) and I'm looking at the Knoxx pistol grip/adjustable stock. It does recoil reduction too.



Thats the only gun I have at the moment, other bills take priority.
