somewhat cheap 500A

These are nothing special but are pretty inexpensive. Ive bought from these guys before they are located here in Prescott. For home defence/plunking a police turn in aint that bad.

Big 5 has the combo for $249.
HERE

I dont know if its the 500.

I want an AR-15 sooo bad. I'd like either a bushmaster or DPMS.

Got mine about a year ago at a gun show brand new for $595. I've only put 1000 rounds through it, but it's been great so far.

If you modify anything to full auto, that usually equals ILLEGAL. I know you have to have a special permit/license to own a full-auto gun.

A good website that I frequent is www.gunchat.net .

They have alot of knowledgeable people in there. Wink

If you are new to guns, please learn basic firearm safety, safe storage, and your local/state/federal gun laws so you can be a responsible gun owner. Don't become more fuel for the anti-gun groups.

I'll try to post some pics of my AR after I get the new junk added tomorrow. I really need to go shooting! There are some pics on my photobucket page but none of me and the only weapon in the pics that is mine is one of the pistols.

Chuck, I havent been shooting in awhile, lets go and do some. Ill PM you.

As far as local gun laws, thats easy in CA, unless your military or law enforcement, your water gun must be registered......everything else, including dart guns are illegal.

Im not new to guns. this is the first handgun i have owned but i have shot many of em. i mainly have only shot with people who were trained quite well, like LEO's so i was only taught the safe ways and proper handling.

also i have been studying the statutes, all the ones that are important and all the other ones that contradict them Complain and the federal ones that claim to supersede the local ones. Roll Eyes

Congrats dude... I love my XD. I shot the 5" last time I was up at the indoor range. It is easier to sight in than my 4" service model...

Anyway, you will be VERY happy with that gun. Easy to clean, easier to maintain Wink

When I clean mine, I just remove the upper assy, recoil spring and barrel. Then, I will just blow out the lower assy with some compressed air, and add a couple drops of CPL on the moving areas.
During the first 500 rounds, I took it apart and cleaned it after every time I went out. Now, I will go a couple hundred before cleaning it. Wink

i ran the 230gr winchester white box thru it today. seems a little heavy on the smoke. it deposited a fair bit of powder but still wasnt bad after the 162 rounds. i cleaned it anyways since i dont know when i'll get back out to the range, that and im crazy about keeping my "tools" in perfect condition. the thing is a work of art, i want it to stay that way. i was glad to see it field strips even easier than a glock. i always had a prob trying to pull down on the take down teeth things with the glocks. i brushed and mopped the barrel and ramp, cleaned off the spring and guide rod and just did a quick wipe down/re-lube on the rest. i got some "gun scrubber" also but that will be for a real funky cleaning.

i was totally impressed though. for a 45 its very smooth and easy to shoot. also it it very accurate, i have no probs hitting what i want and im not even really familiar with it yet.

Grego, what do you normally shoot? i got that WWB since wally world was out of blazer the other day. the WWB was great, no probs. i did get some blazer today and it just looks like its much lower quality than the WWB. i got 2 boxes since its fairly cheap and it supposed to work well with these guns. im going to try it out before i buy any more.

also got a federal holsterworks nylon holster. very nice quality, ambidextrous, just what i was looking for and also only 21$. im sure the leather hand made ones are sweet but they are also big bux.

I target shoot with the winchester white box.

For personal carry, I use the Federal Premium Hydra Shocks. My holster is an Aker "Quick Lightning."

I am currently looking for an IWB (inside waist band) holster for deep concealment. Wink
