Well the other day I got to test out my New bfg M/T 33x10.5's and my T-Max/Summit Winch out in some soupy soupy mud/clay and some steep hills. My tires were amazing they did much better than my crappy A/T's did. They pulled Through everything, I made it farther than i thought i could IN the soupy mud/clay, AND I didn't air down at all sitting at 35 PSI the whole time. It cleaned out the lugs Awesome, espically well even in this Georgia Clay, I was through chunks everywhere. They performed very well in the sand too good control and traction, better than my a/t's. I have no regrets in buying these tires. They may be pricey, but the Good Road Manners and Durability and Awesome offroad Performance is Well worth the price. My cousin who has a Jeep YJ on a/t's, and His GMC Jimmy on cheap M/T's couldn't go farther than I Did. But alas I got stuck (On purpose  had to have some fun) After making Ruts 2+ feet deep I got stuck good. So now it was time to try out the winch, we had two winches there a 12,000 lb Warn, and My 9,000 lb T-Max. I hooked it up to a tree and it drug my truck up a very steep hill, at an angle, through the soupy mud/clay for 20-25 feet without slipping, stalling, or over heating. But I couldn't winch myself any further with my winch for fear of rolling the truck downhill into a tree, (Good Spotter). So My cousin brought His 3/4 Ton GMC jimmy winch a 12k Warn to do the Job. HE pulled me out back about 8 feet then i drove out most of the way, and reversed up the steep clay hill with easy (again love these tires). So here is a little comparo:
T-Max Ew-9000: Pro: Faster Line speed than warn, Considerably lighter, and Alot less expensive. Con: Harder to Free Spool. No complaints the free spool i can live with.
Warn 12k: Pro: Free Spools Much Slower, More peace of Mind having a 12,000 pounder. Con: Was slower, it is a well maintained winch he services it on a schedule. It did pull hard, but not anymore noticable than my T-Max. It pulled it through the same stuff for a short Length than the T-Max.

Sorry Only Two of us and we were both to busy to take many pictures, Now for the crappy Cellphone pictures:
Going In(I backed out the Same way):

BFG M/T are top notch.

You would really get an ideal of how good your winch is when your in a high-stress pull.

From reading your review my understanding is T-max and Warn are on the same playing field.
