Took the wife and baby on a day trip down to the south side of island today (we live on the west side in Kona). Lots of bumpy dirt roads but keep in mind we're doing this with a 4 month old. Caught a little surf then headed up to the green sand beach.

Enjoy!

Nice left, is that the wave you surfed? Are you goofy? Looks like a overhead wave and kinda barrely. smiley4

I always put my left foot forward, but as you know, I'm goofy anyway.

Nice shot of the greensand.

Are you related to the towell-head lol

Let me know when you're ready there Dripster. Most of the time when I go down there, its without the family, in full charging Rambo mode to get some surf. We leave at 5am, in the water by 7, surf 2-3 hours, home for lunch.

Awesome! I went spearfishing at Greeen Sands when I was going to University of Hawaii at Hilo way back in 95.

You should hook up with ef9 (AC board). He is in Hilo now and wants to test out the locker in his HB.

Make it easy on yourself and start off with a body board and fins. Learn the ocean and surfing protocol and move up from there.

I'll do that but I dont really go out to offroad. More like I end up offroading to go surfing. Not much time for anything else these days what with an infant and all. Cant wait till shes older so we can enjoy these trips more by camping, etc.

On a side note, South Point would be awesome for bikes/quads.

I go out to offroad. IF The destination is nice, thats cool, but I like to just go out and go where everyone else says my junk won't go. Thus the trails in the forest behind my place, they don't go anywhere, but they're fun. I need to make the obstacles bigger. Where can I get 2-3-4' boulders and have them dropped off in my yard cheap? =)

That's a sweet looking left. Perfect for the longboard. Cant wait 'till it's warm enough to get out of my wetsuit; it's on its last legs, as it were.
