A 2'x 2' steel plate w/ quite a few predrilled, and chamfered holes drilled around the perimeter and the rest of the plate... or just someone's skidplate...
some 10gauge steel wire in the recovery kit would also come in handy in tying chit back together.

Thats insane.. the hummer lost the whole portal assembly.

The mog axles do that from time to time as well if you are really beating on them. Very expensive repair!
