I'm trying to buy another AR before Obama gets them banned so this has to go. This has been my conceal carry piece with about 75 rounds through it. It does have some surface rust from my sweaty body rubbing up against it but can easily be cleaned. Wink Comes with case, two mags and I'll through in some 180g Hornady hollow points and a couple boxes of cheap range ammo.

Asking $600, new at dealer price is $800.

I'll get some real pictures of it up tonight when I get off work.

Located 45 mins south of Tucson near Sierra Vista.

It's not legal to ship a firearm as a private sale across state lines. To do so, you'd have to ship to a licensed dealer.

FYI.

We would have to do a FLL dealer transfer but I'd rather hold off on that for a few days. I'm pretty sure I can unload it here locally but will keep this open as an option. I believe the fee here in AZ is $15 + $5 NICS + tax .

I sorta hate to butt-in...but descretion was never one of my string points.

Also, I'm in CO, so take that into consideration. But, in AZ, it is not requiered to do a background check (like when you go to a gun show or put an add in the Arizona Republic) when you buy from a private party. AND, if you are shipping it to another state, then the fees are bound by that state. So, the AZ fees don't apply.

You can sell a rifle or shotgun (a pistol MAY be another story) across state lines, private individual to private individual, but you can't ship it...like Desert Rat said.

Not enough info in the post, but if you both live in AZ, drive to each other, it is easier, shipping a gun is a PITA.

What you need to do is have the receiving party decide on a dealer, have him send you a copy of the FFL (original signature, but they will know that). Seller receives the cash. Seller goes and ships the gun...usually by FEDEX, overnite ($50 or so last time that I did it). Then the buyer goes to his dealer and pays the FFL his fees and gets the gun. BTW, did you notice that the price of the gun just went up $75.00...shipping and dealer fees.

And an untraceable gun is selling like crazy at the moment. IN fact all guns are selling like crazy right now, so you should be able to sell it, no sweat.

I just bought a pistol from a fellow Xterra owner out of state. Big Grin
Once we agreed upon a price, I sent payment for the agreed upon price, and his transfer/shipping cost.
He dropped it off to his FFL (Federal Firearm Licenseholder) who prepared to ship it to my FFL. My FFL had to fax over a copy of his license in order to even receive the pistol on my behalf.
When it came in, I had to pay my FFL for his transfer fee plus NYS tax. ugh..
When all was said and done, I still ended up getting it for less than it's going for locally and it was from a reliable source, so I wasn't getting junk.

So factor that headache in for anyone out of state interested.
My FFL fees were $40 for his, $40 plus 8.75% tax for mine. Frown
And most FFL's require insured OVERNIGHT shipping of firearms. So factor in another $20-$50 for shipping.

Nice gun, BTW.. Big Grin

Oh sh*t! I just bought an AK47 from a good friend of mine two days ago, does this mean that I need to register it to make it legal, or can I just do a sales receipt thing?

That depends, do you want the government to know you have it? Oh wait, you posted it on a public forum...they already know.

Long rifles are different as they don't require registration unless fully auto, short barreled or other ATF modifications are done.
Regular rifles can be bought if you're 18 and have a driver's license in most states.
Obviously you should check your local laws instead of relying on an internet message board. lol

Getting a dated receipt from your friend covers you both and grandfathers you in if they ban the AK,at least in our 4 state area.
