During the battle of Little Bighorn, Crow King and his band of 80 warriors attacked Custer from the south, allowing Crazy Horse and Gall to encircle the doomed 7th Cavalry.

dammit. work won't let me access it. I'll have to wait til i get home, and hope my login works there. Are people going this saturday then? What's the trail rating? I've heard ab crown king, but haven't been out there.

A lot of people think Crown King is a 3.0 trail (rating based off of 1-5). From personal experience, it maybe has a couple of spots that are a 3.0, but are completely optional or barely that high of a rating. The trail takes a while to complete with a bigger group (4-5 hours on average). The scenary can't be beat once your start getting to higher elevation. Crown King can be done in a stock Frontier/Xterra with little trouble.

I think CK is a perfect for rookie drivers. It was one of the first trails I ran.

Here's the info. about it:

"January 2008 Xcursion shall be Crown King on the 26th. We will meet at the Chevron on the east side of the 17 on Carefree Hwy at 8:00am.

This is a 3.0 rated trail that has been done by stock Xterra's. It is also a LONG trail so bring lunch and a full tank.
