We got our mid range SN mattress for about $1300. I already had a bed frame to use (my waterbed frame). Where did you get the $3k number?

Mine was about $1300 also, I would recommend the waterbed replacement one as it has less foam "spacers" and a larger air bladder. At least it did when I bought mine. My folks have the water bed replacement and its tons more comfortable than my regular one. I would also recommend getting the largest you can as the bladder does not reach the side. The bladder is about 6 inches? smaller than the bed on all sides, and that last 6 inches is take up with foam spacers to give the bladder some support. The water bed replacement does not need the extra support as most waterbeds are high walled. The foam is not comfortable to sleep on. So if you sleep on the edge you'll want the water bed replacement. Also keep in mind that the water bed one is a bit longer than the standard. My experience is with the queen size bed so your mileage will vary.

Try pricing them at selectcomfort.com.

I just did a workup on a "mid range" setup (queen size 7000 series middle-of-the-line bed with wired controllers (not the more expensive wireless) etc) and it came out to an internet "special" price of $2809.97.

Their top of the line bed in a California King with all the options is $4,429.97 Eek

Buy the mattress only. Not sure what's included in that price, but I'd guess you're getting a full frame, headboard, and a blowjob attachment for that price.

Yep.. I think we paid about that for a King... right around $3K for the full deal...

Bought the 7000 series mattress... If I had thought about it could have saved a few $$ buy going mattress only.. but we needed a full replacement and needed the base...

There still worth every penny to me... DR is right it takes a night or two to dial it in... jumped all over the place and landed at a 45.

What I really like about it is.. if I had a harder day I can adjust it soft.. and over time if my body changes again I can make it harder if needed.

It's kinda like using Viagra... Hard or soft depending on how you like it!
