Day 3.. all I can say is "oh my god my throat hurts".. but I cant really say that because my voice is gone.
 Niki (my gf) is taking pretty good care of me, so I'm doin ok. I got my wisdom teeth out about a week ago. I wonder how it compares to tonsils? No pain for a while, then BAM.

I had my wisdom teeth out about 10 years ago.. theres really not much comparison. For me, post op wisdom teeth was just a dull ache and couldnt eat much for 3-4 days. After that I was fine though.
Gettin tonsils out as an adult SUCKS... I've been reading some of the tonsillectomy forums and many of the women say the pain is worse than or as bad as childbirth.  All I know is that it hurts pretty bad. As for eating.. even ice cream is impossible to get down without pain meds. I got Chicken Pox just shy of my 30th birthday and it was far worse than my wisdom teeth.That was my first brush with any illness that could kick my ass for a couple of weeks.

I remember one time when my dad was in his late 30s, he got the chicken pox, then pnemonia... he was in baaaddd shape.
Hope you feel better soon, John. Take it easy, drink chicken and beef broth, that helped me. .. Zcarmaniac: ... Now the sad news is, after you get the Chicken Pox it opens you up to get Shingles later. I've had Shingles for a over 10 months straight now. It blurred the vision in one eye and half my forehead and scalp itch all the time. ... They now have a high dollar shot that can help prevent shingles. To Late for me.
