I was going to go to the dump and had piled a bunch of stuff in the bed of my ford then threw a tarp over it. I remembered to grab a wheel and tire that needed repair, a almost new 300 dollar 37x 12.50 MTR that I had stabbed with a sawzall and flattened. I put the tire on top of the tarped trash, and proceeded on in to town. Well, next thing I know I look in my mirror and the tire is rolling down the road behind me, and the big rig following me is fishing back and forth. Then the tire rolled across the other side of the road in front of another semi truck, before making it across the hwy and falling on the ground. Of course I went back and got it, and lucky for me nothing bad happened. So then I took the big flat to the tire store and they fixed it for free! Beer sign

Story?
Yea, I was cutting something on top of the tire I guess, it's been a while. The tire is like new because it happened when I first did my sas. Right after it got cut, I took it to some stupid tire place that refused to fix it. I stowed it away in hopes it could be patched someday. The place here in Prescott is the bomb, they took it off and patched it good, then remounted it, and said take it free. Of course all the great fortune I had is pretty cool, including getting away with a near catastrophy.

I have a buddy who dodged a matress that flew off a truck in front of him and rolled his truck.

When the guy came back to get his bed, he was ticketed, and subsequently his insurance fixed the ranger.

I'd slap you if I could reach you smiley13 , but I can't , so just slap yourself, ok ,and buy a rope.

That being said, I know I've been pretty stupid sometimes, too.

Lesson learned.

Granted I was being opportunistic, but that actually IS the bed of LordBiotree's truck. All of that junk is against the tail gate.

I will save the aforementioned self-administered slap for you to apply in person, should our paths one day cross. I am certain I will have acrued several credits by then.

My question is, how did a heavy ass tire come out of your bed? Was stuff piled really high and it slid over the bedrail, or what?

I don't have a tailgate on it because of the hay bale incident. It was on top of bouncy trash I guess, and just wormed itself off the back end. It's ok though, this area is full of people driving with issues, I just fit in better that day. I found a big fiberglass hood on the road side there recently, that thing was probly a major air born object. And then there are bags of cememnt lost right there often, and I found a jerry can there too. So you see, I was just adding to the flavor that is rural country living. smiley12
