one day I'm going to build a dream shop at my parents house. I'm thinking about 20X20 or 20X40. My old man has talked about 35X40.

I was thinking about the elect. I'll probably need 100Amp feed running to the shop alone. Thats the kind of power which runs a house. I figure 50mps for the welder, 20-30amp for a 220 compressor and a few 30 amp 115 circuits for the lights and assorted power tools.

You've also got to think about heat and cooling..... A dream shop would have A/C.
