Well, I hope all the AZ peeps have pleasant memories of Oak Creek Canyon, because it doesn't look good.

A transient started a campfire that got out of control. Idiots are ruining Arizona. In the last 5 years, we lost so much of the Mogollon Rim (that'll never grow back in our lifetime), and we've lost most of Mt. Lemmon all by human caused fires....That's about a million acres of forest lost to stupidity. Lightning fires have taken another million acres in that same timeframe.

I guess I'm blessed to have known all these places before they were decimated, but I can't help but to feel a deep sense of loss over the damage these fires are causing. If we don't get a reprieve from this 10 year drought soon, there's not going to be anything left to save.

I just wish there was something we could do about it.

I like the idea of the death penalty for these stupid asses that start these fires. I'll gladly pull the trigger. Line up this idiot that started the Brims fire, the indian arsonist who started the Chedeski Fire, and the stupid bitch who was trespassing on closed forest land who started the Rodeo fire....3 bullets.

Went to see Cars up in Sedona last night, You can see the flames from just about anywhere in town. If you want to know exactly where this thing started, it was on the mesa above and north of Soldier's Pass. Let's just hope they can get this thing under control soon. The scenery around Sedona is a national treasure and this could take it out for a long time.

I hope they get it out and no firefighters are hurt.
