Well the town of Sahuarita... where Stacy and I bought our house.

News Article.

They are talking about establishing a free wi fi network for the entire town. Would be nice. We'll see how it will progress.

WOW, 3000 to 14000 population in a year! That's a fast growth rate.

I think it makes sense and should make the town a whole lot more attractive.

I don't know about down in Tucson but Tempe, Chandler, and Gilbert are all doing the border to border wifi thing. The service provider rolls out the gear, charges the town $X and gives city employees "free" subscriptions. After that John Q. Public pays by the hour, the day or the month. Tempe is going to provide for two free hours of connect time in the part of town right around ASU. I don't know if that's a one time freebie or two hours at a crack over and over again. The pricing here isn't bad if you don't already have broadband.
