Sup ya'll.

I am needing new tires, and since my truck is a DD, I was considering getting some 33x1250 BFG ATs for better road wear.

Then get a really aggressive tire for off roadin later down the road.

Noob question is... What is a kickass off-road tire to look for. Highway mileage would be minimal on these. Wink

I was just looking at the TSLs... they have a 33x1350. My wheel is 15x8, so that is almost bordeline right there. I really didn't want to go much larger than a 1250 on the wheels that I have now.

I know some people who are having great success with Nitto tires, I believe they're called Terra Grapplers. It's an A/T tire.

Yeah, I have BFG M/Ts on there now, and I really like em. Only prob is that it is such a soft rubber, that highway driving kills it. I think I got 30k on em, and they are waaay worn.

Oh well.

Got about 34k on the AT's on our Xterra. They MAYBE have 10k left in them. That's if I run them down to nothing. I don't run tires to bald...just to the wear bars.

Me too. They stayed onthe frontend the whole time. They wore fairly even across the tread, too . I started the air pressure in the 35psi range, but they quickly started eating the shoulders up. I increased it until I saw more even wear- that was at 50 PSI(235/75-15).

This pressure was specific to that tire, size, rim width, truck weight, so please take into account.. DO not think you can run that much pressure and benefit from the results.

I've got over 50K on the BFG A/T's on the 4Runner, they look like they'll go another 20K or so. To the wear indicators. You guys must abuse tires or something.

The Nitto A/T's are supposedly around $30 cheaper per tire than BFG's, and wear well.
