So I get up to Show Low with enough time to fish last night.

Start hitting them right away and catch 4. Had the fifth on the line and lost him right at the back. It's about dark but I want to be greedy and get the limit of 6.

So I grab another worm and as I'm walking back to the spot BOOM

Friggin beaver hole. My left leg goes in and the right is up a little slop.

I thought for sure I snapped my right ankle/leg.

Got real hot real quick and almost threw up. There was no one there but me and it took awhile to get out of the hole (it's okay you can laugh)

It took forever to get back to the truck and I could hardly drive the few miles to my place.

It's above the ankle on the back on both sides like the achilles maybe. I can't put any weight on it or turn it at all or let my foot flop.

Getting up to pee or just piss myself was a struggle of a decision to make last night.

Boy does it hurt.

Thank goodness J made it up here last night and we are going to look for crutches in Show Low.

A lesson in greed. I should have been happy with the four Apache trout, which were delicious btw.

One minute extemely happy next minute not so much lol

Meh.

WinkAn empty bottle of applejuice makes a great bedside urinal, and you can return it for store credit- noone will be the wiser.

REst easy , Marshal.

How'd you cook up the trout? Are those wild or stocked?

J was the nicest guy and drove me all around the White Mountains yesterday, capped off with dinner in Springerville last night at the original Los Dos Molinas.

We saw some real cool scenery, alas I couldn't fish on the Little Colorado....

Great day sans the pain in my leg/ankle.

Boy oh boy did we punish "Andy" lol

Drove home using my left leg on the brake, which I didn't have to do much. Went through Salt River Canyon and used the cruise as a throttle.

It kept swelling up all day today.

At the ER right now waiting on X ray results...

It's jacked. I think I may have torn my achilles, hope not.

They stock Apache trout there and they spawn and live there too. Caught four nice ones, a bit of butter, lemon and some cajun spice. yummmmm.

If you're going to reference the Schitter, you must refer to it by it's complete name, you asshat!

Get that thing taken care of. Torn Achilles? That doesn't sound good. Maybe you'll be "lucky" and just have a nasty high ankle sprain. Swelling ain't good though. Ice it good so you don't lose circulation!

As stated, I'll bet you get every color of the rainbow represented over the next several days.

The fish sound yummy. My weekend was a lot sweatier, but on a plus side, I'm going to go get my motorcycle license tomorrow Big Grin

Oh well I had this long reply that just went away....

ER thinks the achilles (sic?) is torn or a micro tear. Wrapped the snot out of it. No driving for me.

My Orthopediac doesn't "do" that so they referred me to a guy but he is up in North Scottsdale....

They did cancel my knee surgeries for next Monday.

This sucks.

Maybe me and Datz can hang out and split the cost of a nurse lol Chug

Sorry but we affectionately refer to the Andrew Claude Schauer Memorial Schitter as Andy.

J was exceptionately cruel to Andy on several occasions. smiley38

Andy you'll have to tell us all about your bike weekend..

That sucks Marshall. Let us know if you need anything. Need a ride up for darts on Wednesday?

If you love something set it free.
If it comes back, it will always be yours.
If it doesn't come back, it was never yours to begin with.

But, if it just sits in your living room, messes up your stuff, eats your food, uses your telephone, takes your money and doesn't appear to realize that you had set it free.....
You either married it or gave birth to it !!

Hope it's not your achilles...

My boss tore his last year at a karate class, had to get one from a cadaver and was laid up for 2 months, then crutches for another 2-3 months.

That's how I got the Team reporting to me, he was out and they had to report to someone... only he came back and they still report to me and I report to him only.

Doesn't sound like you will be back to work anytime soon, you going on short term disability or even long term?

Hope it's just a real bad sprain.... good luck.

Ugh, that doesn't sound good.

Everyone shits on Andy. Nope, I'm starting to think I don't like the name of your crapper.

The bike course went well. I'd recommend it to any newbie. I feel like I can get on a bike with a little bit of confidence now, but I'm definitely a ways away from wanting to ride freeways, etc. I might look for a beater bike to poke around the neighborhood in so I can get the skills honed a bit. I stopped at the DMV this morning and got my upgraded license, so I'm all legal.

Not out of work.

I can access my desktop from anywhere I get service and my phone works. I just can't run proofs to clients.

That's okay, we have three drivers....

Still trying to find a doctor.....

Meh.

Are you able to walk on it at all? My boss ripped his complete and couldn't put any weight on it, otherwise he would just fall over.

Hopefully this means you might only have a small tear or something like that. Sorry, don't know any good doctors... you want a bad one?
