Ok, have a question. My brother took 2 good video's of me on day 5 in Moab but he held the camera sideways and thus the videos are off by 90 degrees. I need to rotate the entire video 90 degrees to the right. Anyone know how I can do this. Can't seem to find that feature in Windows Movie maker or Sonic.

Thanks,

5 seconds of googling returned this. If it doesn't work, you get what you pay for.

1. Import the video clip into Windows Movie Maker.

2. Drag the imported video clip and drop it onto the timeline.

3. On the Tools menu, click Video Effects.

4. To rotate the video clip to the right, drag the Rotate 90 video effect and drop it onto the movie on the timeline.

-or-

To rotate the video clip to the left, drag the Rotate 270 video effect and drop it onto the movie on the timeline.

5.On the File menu, click Save Movie File and follow the instructions in the Save Movie Wizard.

For detailed instructions, see Windows Movie Maker Help.

It's a fine line between clever and stupid.

Thanks,... you know, google is just so far from my mind these days. I prefer to come to the SWANKy answer board, plus, sometimes I get answers with comedy!

My camera is the same way. When taking video you have to watch how you’re holding the camera.

I just can't win... Movie Maker doesn't recognize MOV files. Now I have been on Google for the last hour and downloaded 3 MOV to AVI converter programs and then all of them said I need to register and pay for a license. Searched for a free one and found it but can't download it due to their server issue. One day... I will get it all done.

Here you go gumybob

Every codec known to man for free.

Here is the F&Q.

This is not spyware, wont ask you to download extra crap from 3rd party companies. I've been using their codec for years.

Well dammm... can't freaking get it right. Went to the link you sent, clicked on "Download Video Converter" and installed it and it's the freaking first one I did yesterday, $39 for 1 year or $59 unlimited. My mouse just can't click on the correct thing. Besides, the AVS Converter doesn't work, it converts the audio but no video gets converted. Maybe I will read your second link and see what I did wrong.

How big are the files? I can rotate the videos with my video software but the hard part is getting the files to me if they are large.

Yup I have final cut as well. If there is someone close to you that you can take them a copy it might be easier. I don't know fo a way to transfer 9+ size files.
