honestly, if we do drill for more domestic oil it's not going to lower fuel costs much. The us consumes way to much oil for the little bit we are able to produce to help prices.

While I'd like to support it, a refinery hasn't been built since 1976. All of them are running at near peak, and are aging bad. Operational time is kept to a max with tight schedules and frantic downtime.

We could drill all we want, but it won't help since there isn't enough refining capacity to handle any more crude. Eco-Demo-lib-tards need to be bitch-slapped, and we need another dozen refineries built ASAP.

There is a half-built refinery just east of Liberal,Kansas that was never completed because of the dems.I believe it was owned by Getty Oil.I drive by it everytime I come down to Phoenix and it pisses me off that some lib-o-tard is keeping it from ever opening Mad

Yup, you're right- haven't built a new refinery in 32 years.

BUt, a greater oil supply would bring the price of crude down, so it would cost the refiners less to make a gallon of gas, so it would help, but the supply wouldn't increase any.

The United States imports GASOLINE. We exceeded our refining capacity, and have other countries with lower or without eco standards/laws make it for us. Then ship it to us. It's insanity.

If we pump out more crude than we can process, then we'd have to store it somehow, and possibly be forced to export it at whatever price we could get for it.

Driling and building refining resources together is the only plausible solution here.

There's plenty of empty salt domes to store lots of oil- called the Strategic Petroleum Reserve

Only because we can't drill anywhere here

Were not drillin ANWR, not drilling continental shelf off shore, not drilling the Bakken Formation in the DAkotas and northinto Canada.
There's enough to tell OPEC to SHOVE IT !

Why should we be struggling for spot at OPEC's teat when we have all the oil/gas reserves we need - here in the US?
