Well guys I'm on vacation getting ready to go to Daytona beach.

I chose Daytona due to the fact that it's close by. Gas prices the way they are if I go out of state my gas bill will be around $300-400.

This is pretty cool. $25 2hr you get to drive a go cart at speeds over 75MPR.

They also have a famous auto museum
Klassix Auto Attraction

Room and board is through the rood. Average hotel is $79 a night. I found a place right next to the Hilton resort for $45 during the week $55 on the weekends. Hotel could be better but the location is what I like.

FYI, unless something changes recently i think klassic car museum shut down a while ago. i never heard much about it, i had 1 freind go and said it sucked. instead you should go a little further west, about 1 minute and visit the speedway u-pull-it junk yard. probably the best junkyard around and killer prices.

I went to Daytona USA today. Arrived at around noon after eating at waffle house right down the street.

I've never been much of a NASCAR fan. I had no idea the kind of history behind the Daytona 500. Basically NASCAR was invented on Daytona beach.

They had the Blue Bird V, which set the land speed record of 272+mpg. Average of 2 runs. The t.v he was clocked at over 330mpg on the first run.


TJL- I found the U-pull-it-junk yard. I plan on going there tomorrow. That will be it for me. The rest of my stay I'm going to sit on the beach watching the waves.

All I have is a disposable camera. Once the camera is full I'll have them put onto a CD.

I went to Speedway Pick-N-Pull today.

They had 4 total Nissan trucks. 3 93-95 2WD HB and one 85 720. All 4 were very picked over. No engines, trannys, front clips removed. Also 2 trucks had the bed, gas tank, rear bumper removed. They were good for odds and ends.

I scored an Over flow fuel hose for $3.26. When looking under your gas cap you will see to hoses. Your main fuel hose and your over flow fuel hose. My over flow hose has had a pin hole leak for 2-3 years now.

I learned while at the junk yard that all 94+ HB have a plastic over flow hose which cracks over time. Pre 93 HB have a proper rubber fuel hose.

Now I can top her off without Pi$$ing fuel.
