Hey all-

My mom breeds miniature schnauzers, and has 6 available. She asked me to show some pics, and let my friends know... She is putting an ad in the paper next weekend, but wanted me to get the word out before hand.

Anyway, she has 4 males, and 2 females.

Here is a copy of the email she sent to me the other day:
The puppies are approx six weeks old. All the boys are going for $575 each. The girls are going for $600 each. NOW!!! They are ALL AKC registered, except the two white ones can NOT be shown in AKC shows. White is not an "official" show color for mini schnauzers according to them, yet they are a rarer color. There are some people who strictly breed whites, usually charge about twice the price. Google "White Miniature Scnauzers" It is a gene trait that goes back to when the "mini" breed was being developed and they were crossing the schnauzers with West Highland Terriers (according to one of the AKC "experts" on the web). So, every once in a while a whitey shows up.

I kinda' like the white ones better. I bet they would make good wheelin' buddies. They are small. You know, Nissan-sized.

I can have her take some close up shots of the white ones, but she lives in Arizona... I don't think I can ship one easily,

The white ones are cool looking, Ill let some people know. I do know one lady that was looking at min-pins so she might be interrested.

I'm thinkin about another dog myself, but I need a larger one, like a german shepard, etc, as a guard dog.

No thanks, I'll save $500 and give a shelter puppy a home before I'll pay for a breeder pup.

Yes, pound pups can be great- A little restraint though and not posting such a comment in a thread where someone is selling the pups would be nice. It basically sounds like you're attacking his mom's character.

I don't care what he says... I noticed most of his posts in the past week have been relatively pessimistic. No difference to me.

Hey, his mom is great, she put up with me for a good time. Those are cute puppies. I am glad she had a diferce lot. And kudos on her picture taking skills. those pics look like a pro took them.

Nothing against his mom, but I have a fundamental problem with the fact that there are so many pets that need homes, but people would rather blow exorbitant sums of money on one from a breeder/store instead. If I had $600 to blow, $100 would cover a shelter pet, the other $500 would be donated to the shelter.

I think most of us understood that from your last post. Why the need to post this up twice in a thread for selling puppies? If youre not interested....dont post. Not that hard of a concept. At least I thought it wasnt.

Alright. Point taken. However, some people do want AKC registered dogs for breeding, showing, etc. Last litter my mom had, she sold em for 550 a piece, and made like 2k.
