I was reading the article and noticed how many drivers were overlooked. Understandable that not everyone could be shown/mentioned by name, but it seems that Jay overlooked the obvious; Andy was in several pictures, but I didn't see his name anywhere.

Keep in mind that magazines have editors that will slice and dice articles for space and fill considerations.

Also how the stories are sometimes exagerated but a lot of the time they only put in a few things that may have happened during an event or photo shoot. I have heard of plenty of feature rigs that have broken during photo shoots and I am sure you guys have caught stuff that was wrong when the specs did not match the pics. Besides, a pic is way better than your name, I've had my name with no pic in and it stunk! Damn stickers!!!

Are you saying that if I had a club name as a windshield banner my pic would not have made it?

No I had a competing magazines event stickers (RTCC) on my truck and when I set up a shoot with another mag and they only placed my name in the article. It probably would have been fine if it was another Primedia mag but it was not.

At least they put your name in there. Poor Andy did all that work and got no national recognition.

Bought a copy today, nice stuff. I see the meanie several times, so not all is bad for Andy. Actually brought back some memories of the trip, pretty sweet.

Yeah....you're right. I got him by name the previous month but overlooked it for AZ Run VII.....sorry.

Great writeup and nice photography, Jay.

"When you recognize your friends by the truck they drive, you might be Swanky." I think the Blue Meany is synonymous with Andy, so its all good. Heck, I didnt have my name in there, but I don't care.. Its good to see Nissans in the mags. More exposure is always good.

Jay, this coming AZ Run will be a good one. We should have at least 2 Mercedes Unimogs and possibly some vintage Nissan Patrols as well.
