Are you serious? I can't swing all that. I'll be doing well to have skids and sliders. I can pull the skids off when I get back home. A locker wouldn't suck to have if I could afford it. Gears, on the other hand, would be useless in MS.
If I can't get by with a trail rig, I might have to wuss out.
I might have to buy Spike some gas...

We still have a calmini SAS to finish (all parts ordered) then debug. Once that is done I get to start on my gas tank relocation, water heater, and fitting a low pinion R200 up front. Then I will slap a 4.6x ring and pinion in the rear to match the front.

Predictions for Goat boy:

Day 1 - driveshaft falls apart on way to trailhead. Day spent fixing it on the side of the road.

Day 2 - driveshaft falls apart on way to trailhead. Day spent fixing it on the side of the road.

Day 3 - driveshaft falls apart on way to trailhead. Day spent fixing it on the side of the road.

Do you see the pattern emerging? Big Grin

Of course I probably just jinxed myself.

I read the first one with a straight face- and promptly broke out laughing for #2 and on. Big Grin

In his defense, he can rebuild his driveshaft in under an hour now- he's had plenty of practice, and knows where to scrounge for missing bolts already. I'd bet he could get the tranny out and back in between lunch and dinner too. Big Grin

Well I've just gone bug-nutty prepping for this one (and yes.. all the mods are specifically for AZ7). Screw my credit rating Devil

SAS is DONE (and has already had a light test-wheel).

More things I'm *trying* to do before the run:
1) Front ARB locker (open diff right now 'cause it was cheap and let me get the SAS done sooner)

2) Crawler gears (probably AC's 3.7's 'cause of the $300 difference)

3) Keith-fab rear bumper/tire carrier

4) 35" tires (or mebbe some of those cheap 34x10.5 LTBs)

5) Calmini sway bar

I finally got the front locker in and moved my air system so I can cut the hole and install the WD21 gas tank.

The two big things I need are a winch and some 34x 10.5 ltbs.

I really need to respring the rear and build a long(er) arm setup, but might not get around to that.

I also MUST re-hinge my rear tire carrier, install a water tank and the water heat exchanger.

and it's a full time job keeping Glenard from going too Glenard on himself Roll Eyes

I'll have to knock the dust off the pathy.. and it'll be ready to go. Big Grin

The mog still needs some work. I'd like to bring it for a few days as a camper/support vehicle. A couple more months of work and it'll be ready.
