There should be enough alternatives around that area. Shoot, running the coves a couple times or going over by Bartlett could keep some of us entertained if sitting at camp while the real trucks beat themselves on the real trails gets old. I figure the itinerary changes are a good excuse to get serious about crawler gears and I'm thinking I'll finally order up the rear locker after I get home tomorrow.

Itinerary changeups forthcoming. We found a new trail to add (day 1 trail), and I'll be shuffling the runs.

Payette is now IN. (provided there's not a foot of snow up there - an alternative will be identified)

Mud Springs is out, sadly. I just can't make it work well, logistically, and besides, there's a real danger of rollover on that trail.

So I just realized that St. Patricks Day is Saturday.

I say we observe it Friday since that's our last night camping, and we've got a reasonably short trail that day (I rearranged everything just for you and the corned beef feast!)

Cabbage punting ingrate.

Payette Draw would be a nice addition during one of the first 3 days.

Could we also have an alternative trail during one of the first two days, something more challenging in the rocks such as a Terminator, Raw Deal, etc: 4 to 4+ trail. Sun flower and the others look nice, scenic, and interesting but not all the challening which is ok for a day or so but for two straight it may get a bit boring for some of the more bulit rigs. Yeah I know the AZ runs are about lots more than just the wheelin' I'm just wondering since last years itineray seems a bit more challenging the 1st three days

Thanks
Brian

Log Corral has its challenges. If you're hell bent, you can go run mud springs. Dennis might go with ya.

Yes it is a awesome feeling knowing you will have your rig on this one,
You went to AZ5 riding with someone
On AZ6 Mongo made an appearance.
And now Mongo gets to play.
So I sure that I am not the only one to said that we will be happy to have you going on this run.

No, you're the only one who would say something like that. At least, you're the only one who could goat a sentance that badly.

Looks pretty good!

Think my truck will qualify? Smile

It's a shame to have to run in separate groups... but I agree that if the group is bigger than 10 or 15 trucks that it is a necessity.

Aside from the 2 days where we're hitting different trails, I suspect the two groups will probably catch each other.

It's no fun being in the back of a line of 20+ trucks and dealing with the slinky effect. We'll play by ear depending on how many show up.

Andy, do you think this is a trip that I should attempt? I did Payette (lower end) with Xtoolbox and Terrance. Aside from the Crunching and banging underneath, I made it through. I have no idea what the rating was where I went through and don't plan on making any additional Mods before getting back into my Burned House.

It sounds like fun, but I wouldn't want to burden the group. The extra gas I assume is for the older less efficient Rigs? I usually get about 280 Miles between fillups or 14 MPG on Off-Road runs.

Thanks for your input, I've been wearing these AZ Run Shirts you gave me for inspiration and hope to get out with you all more next year.

If I am good to go for this run, I will be bringing 20 gallons of gas with me so I should have at least 5 extra gallons, if not 10. So I will be happy to sell off some gas.

And before anyone saids it the driveshaft is being looked over to make a better way to keep it on the rig and not on the trail/highway. Chug

Adam, the only trail I see you having a significant issue on is Log Corral, and possibly Rocker panel pass (haven't run that one just yet myself), but I'm sure there will be open seats those days if you don't want to take your truck. That rear locker will get you through everything else.
