Saturday is the day. Meeting up in the morning, should be killer! We will meet at the Chevron gas station off Highland. To get to Highland exit, take the 10 freeway to the 30 (Mtn Resorts) to Highland then make a right off the freeway to get to the Chevron. Its one exit past the 330 to Big Bear.

Any problems or questions call me 951-541-6371

Hey diya think if all you steam rollers flatten out the snow in front of me and I get a big enough head start, air down to 6 psi, that I could tag along as tail end charlie until I plow into a snow bank or run out of breath Roll Eyes
I'll bring my cloud hook w/ me too smiley47

Roll Eyes WHere yu been, BUyooferd? He posted this 9 days ago Wink. BEsides somebody needs to install a ,
and

on the White Mess 5-speeed so's can overfill it.

I gotta spend some quality time w/ the wife.
I will be acting as a distant observer, only, as I don't wish to even hint at the suggestion of inhibiting the difficulty of the trails travelled, nor limit quality time of others by getting in the way due to my FAD limitations.

Might as well lurk behind a convoy of 4bys. Once things become impassable, I'lll definately go make a snowman and kick it somewhere for awhile. StrangeFUnny how that sounds now, considering it might be snowing this weekend. HOpefully , it will just have ended.

Chains and momentum! tally HO Roll Eyes Big Grin

Gold Mtn Road, Went there, done that, not!
after getting our "adventure pass" at the Discovery Center->

got to about .8 miles where the trail is still climbing after swooping down first. Didn't get to the tailings pile peak.

Sun was out, said hi to ranger rick and Roger, in their jeep- after I drove back down to the trailhead. They started to make the climb up, but turned around when they saw the mud puddle Big Grin- which is about 100 yards max into the trail.
Then ,attempting it from the "trail end" side, on the north side of the mountain- got as far as the 3rd switchback and had to say ,no banana Nway.

WEnt to the Skyline Drive trailhead back in town. It 's a locked gate now.

SUn was out and it wasn't raining. . trail was pretty sloppy w/o chains, which I took off after descending back down to the highway.

Ohh man we had a fun time. I was the leader of the group when it came time to break trail through the snow. Only one Toyota of the 20 or so was a sas. My rig did incredible, others got stuck and the winching was outstanding. Big Grin I would say the group had only 3 or 4 experienced trail hands. But everyone in the group was a good person and all had a good time. I have lots of pictures, and some others have video. There was some sic action between the two sas rigs at the rock garden. Chug

Gold Mt is just to boring/easy if you ask me Wink

Holcomb creek and John Bull are better especially when the snow is fresh & deep 3+. SB Fire & rescue sent out the Heavy equipment for some heeps the day before I wheeled those the last time.
