Well thanks to everyone who showed up. I dont have any pictures yet, because we arent done, but ill post what we have later. Basically we got the cross members and shock towers mounted, and now focus turns to the axle. I am hopefully going to get the perches welded this week and that should be it.

Now to the breakage, it is weird. Calmini says to torque what was the torsion crossmember bolts to 110 ft/lbs of torque. The kit comes with new bolts, but there the same small diameter even though they are grade 8. That seems like a lot for those little guys and sure enough one of them snapped on the way to 110. Anyone have any thoughts on that?

Calmini Instructions:

quote:
Using supplied hardware, install the radius arm cross-member with tabs facing forwards and torque all bolts to 110 ft/lbs

I have rebuilt most parts of the axle, rotors hubs, shafts, ujoints, and they are awaiting assembly after the welding.

Ill get you guys some pics shortly.

Robin,

I finally found the u-joint straps and bolts. If you still need them and / or the ball joint socket, I can get them mailed out tomorrow or you can stop by my work and pick them up.
